OpenArt alternatives in 2026: Everygen and 7 others, compared on real prices

Everygen is the closest OpenArt alternative for video: the same Seedance, Kling and Nano Banana models, Seedance 2 at 13 credits a clip against OpenArt's 400, and you keep the rights to what you make on every plan (Terms, section 3.1), where OpenArt allows commercial use only from Plus. Billed annually, Everygen costs less than OpenArt for up to 38 Seedance 2 clips a month, and again from 61 to 76. If you want something different, the list below says who is good at what. And if you live in OpenArt's characters or Director, or pay monthly, you may be better off staying put.

Every competitor price links to that company's own page, with the day we read it.

What OpenArt costs, and what Everygen costs for the clips you need

Checked on openart.ai/pricing on October 30, 2026, logged out, per seat.

OpenArt sells Starter at $14 monthly or $13 a month billed annually (4,000 credits), Plus at $34 or $27 (12,000), Pro at $56 or $44 (24,000) and Wonder at $240 or $175 (106,000). Commercial use starts at Plus. Everygen sells Starter at $9 annually or $24 monthly, Pro at $19 or $49 and Creator at $49 or $139. On every Everygen plan you keep the rights to what you make (Terms, section 3.1). Starter runs every Seedance model up to 720p, Pro up to 1080p and Creator up to 4K.

A 5-second 720p Seedance 2 clip costs 400 credits on OpenArt and 13 on Everygen, so what you pay comes down to how many clips you make and how you pay. Billed annually, up to 10 clips a month is $9 on Everygen against $13 on OpenArt, and Everygen stays the lower bill up to 38 and again from 61 to 76. OpenArt is lower from 39 to 60. Billed monthly, OpenArt Starter at $14 beats Everygen Starter at $24 for up to 10 clips, and OpenArt is the lower bill at most volumes above that.

If you need commercial use, OpenArt Starter is out. Against OpenArt Plus, Everygen is the lower bill up to 15 clips a month on monthly billing too, and you keep the rights to what you make on every plan (Terms, section 3.1). The full tables are on our OpenArt pricing page.

Why people look for an OpenArt alternative

In OpenArt's own words, from its pricing page and Terms, from our paid test, and in its users' words, from Trustpilot.

OpenArt has a 3.5 TrustScore on Trustpilot from 1,645 reviews (checked October 30, 2026). Most are five stars, and support gets real praise. But about 1 in 3 reviews give it one star.

A Seedance clip takes 400 credits

Starter's 4,000 credits sound like a lot, and the card says “Up to ~50 videos”. At 400 credits for a 5-second 720p Seedance 2.0 clip, it is 10; at 650 for Seedance 2.5, it is 6. We read both prices off the Generate button and in the credits history. The same clips are 13 and 20 credits on Everygen, from a 200-credit Starter plan: 15 and 10 clips.

The cheapest plan can't be used commercially

“For subscription levels at, and above, the “Plus” level (as described on our pricing page), you may also freely use Output you generate for commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and applicable law.”
OpenArt Terms of Service, 4.1, openart.ai/suite/terms

So for ads, client work or a monetised channel, OpenArt starts at Plus: $27 a month billed annually, $34 monthly. On every Everygen plan you keep the rights to what you make (Terms, section 3.1), Starter at $9 included.

Running out on Starter means upgrading

Extra credits are an add-on ($15 a month for 5,000) that starts at Plus, and OpenArt's help center answers “Can I buy extra credits without a subscription?” with “No. Extra credits can only be purchased as an add-on to an active subscription.” A Starter account that runs dry moves up a plan or waits for next month.

Two at a time on Starter

Starter's card lists 8 parallel generations. On our Starter account, a third generation at once opened an upgrade prompt: “You have reached the limit of Parallel Generations, upgrade to generate more in parallel.”

Long projects can burn credits on retries

“The project ran into errors Director couldn’t fix, no matter how many credits I spent trying.”
Daniels Family, 2-star review on Trustpilot, October 29, 2026. Read the review

Everygen's Wizard shows its plan and credit ceiling before it spends anything, and asks you to approve the plan and the first clips.

The pricing is hard to pin down

OpenArt's help center still names its older plans, its Terms and help center disagree on commercial use, and its Terms add: “Credits necessary to generate Output on OpenArt may change during the duration of a subscription”. We untangled it on the OpenArt pricing page.

OpenArt from openart.ai/pricing, its Terms and our Starter account, checked October 30, 2026. Everygen from everygen.ai/pricing and the cost table. Per-clip dollar figures use each plan's annual price. The add-on counts in the bill rows where it is cheaper.

The same three prompts on both

We typed the same 3 prompts into OpenArt on October 30, 2026: Seedance 2.0, 5 seconds, 720p, 16:9, sound on, nothing else changed. OpenArt charged 400 credits a clip, in its credits history and on the button, and runs it from Starter at $13 a month billed annually. The Everygen clips are from our October 23, 2026 run of the same prompts at the same settings, at 13 credits each, on every plan, from Starter at $9 a month billed annually. Here is every pair, untouched. Press play with the sound up and judge for yourself.

Choose Everygen if

  • You pay annually and make up to 38 Seedance clips a month, or 61 to 76.
  • You'll sell what you make: OpenArt allows that from Plus at $27, and on Everygen you keep the rights to what you make on every plan (Terms, section 3.1), Starter at $9 included.
  • You use Seedance 2.5: 20 credits a clip against 650.
  • You create from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, or want an agent that shows its plan and credit ceiling before it spends anything.
  • You also want Wizard, Shorts Studio, the AI Ad Generator, captions and voiceover on the same subscription.

Choose OpenArt if

  • You pay monthly and make Seedance clips for yourself: Starter at $14 covers 10, and OpenArt is the lower bill at most monthly volumes.
  • You make 39 to 60 Seedance clips a month on annual billing, or more than 76.
  • You make a lot of Nano Banana Pro images or Kling clips.
  • You build consistent characters or multi-scene films in Director.
  • You want a model only OpenArt has, from a catalog of 100+.

The 8 best OpenArt alternatives

Same fields for every tool, so you can skim. Prices link to each company's own page.

1. Everygen

One subscription for Seedance, Kling, Nano Banana and more, with Wizard (an agent that plans a whole video and shows its plan and credit ceiling before it spends anything), Shorts Studio, the AI Ad Generator, captions and voiceover on the same credits. It also runs inside Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor.

Best for
Seedance at 13 credits a clip, the rights to what you make on every plan, and a lower annual bill up to 38 clips a month
Price
Starter $9 a month billed annually or $24 monthly, 200 credits. Pro $19 or $49, 500 credits. See plans
Models
Seedance, Kling, Gemini Omni, MiniMax, Grok Imagine, Nano Banana, GPT Image.
Free option
No free plan. The cheapest way in is Starter at $9 a month billed annually.
vs OpenArt
Seedance 2 is 13 credits against OpenArt's 400, you keep the rights to what you make on every plan (Terms, section 3.1), and the cheapest plan is $9 a month billed annually. OpenArt is cheaper per image and per Kling clip, and bigger on characters.
Good
On every Everygen plan you keep the rights to what you make (Terms, section 3.1), Starter included. Wizard shows its plan and credit ceiling before it spends anything.
Less good
Billed monthly, OpenArt is often the lower bill for Seedance 2. Nano Banana Pro images and Kling clips cost less on OpenArt from Plus up.

The closest swap if you came to OpenArt for Seedance and want to use what you make commercially.

2. Higgsfield

Higgsfield sells many outside models, Seedance, Kling and Nano Banana among them, plus its own apps such as Cinema Studio, Soul and Genjutsu. It has an MCP too.

Best for
Its own apps and 7-day “unlimited” windows on a few models
Price
Starter $19 on either billing, 270 credits. Plus $59 monthly or $47 a month billed annually, 1,200 credits. Ultra $129 or $99, 3,000 credits. Before VAT. Pricing page Higgsfield and Everygen, clip by clip
Models
Seedance, Kling, Nano Banana, GPT Image, Wan, FLUX and more, plus its own Soul and Cinema Studio models.
Free option
A free tier with a small set of models and no credits.
vs OpenArt
The closest product to OpenArt: many models plus its own apps. Standard Seedance 2.0 starts at Plus there, where every OpenArt plan runs it.
Good
A big catalog and its own apps. 7-day “unlimited” windows on a few models on Plus and up.
Less good
Standard Seedance 2.0 needs Plus. “Unlimited” works on the website only, not over MCP.

The many-models pick if you also want its own apps.

3. PixVerse

PixVerse makes its own video models and also hosts others. Every account gets daily credits, and paid plans add a monthly balance and cheaper modes on PixVerse's own models.

Best for
Its own video model and a daily free allowance
Price
Standard $10 monthly or $8 a month billed yearly, 1,200 credits every 30 days plus 60 daily. Pro $30 or $24, 6,000 credits. Premium $60 or $48, 15,000 credits. Ultra $199 (list price $249) or $149, 25,000 credits. Pricing page PixVerse and Everygen, clip by clip
Models
PixVerse's own models, plus Seedance, MiniMax, Wan, Gemini Omni Flash, Kling O3 and Grok Imagine from Pro up.
Free option
Basic is free: 60 credits to start, then 30 a day, up to 540p.
vs OpenArt
Has a real free tier that refills daily, and its own model. Seedance starts at Pro, where OpenArt runs it on Starter.
Good
A real free tier that refills daily. Image models with 365-day “unlimited” on higher plans.
Less good
Seedance is not on Standard. Standard tops out at 720p.

Good for trying ideas for free, and for PixVerse's own model.

4. Kling

Kling AI is Kuaishou's own app, so new Kling versions such as Kling 4.0 and native 4K land there first.

Best for
Kling and nothing else, straight from the maker
Price
Standard $6.99 for the first month, then $8.80 a month (list price $10), 660 credits. Pro $25.99, then $32.56 a month, 3,000 credits. Bigger plans up to 57,000 credits. The page was mid-promotion. Pricing page
Models
Kling only: Kling 4.0, 3.0 and 3.0 Omni, motion control.
Free option
A free Basic plan; see Kling's page for what it includes today.
vs OpenArt
Kling only, straight from the maker, with new Kling versions first. OpenArt resells Kling among 100+ models.
Good
First access to new Kling models. Lower price per credit on bigger plans.
Less good
One model family. Prices on the page were mid-promotion, so check at checkout.

If Kling is all you use, go to the source.

5. InVideo

InVideo is an editor first. Its pricing page says "The full timeline, multiplayer editing, colour, audio and 3D are on every plan", with AI video models inside it.

Best for
Editing a full video on a timeline, as a team
Price
Starter $20 monthly or $10 a seat a month billed annually, 400 credits. Plus $60 or $30, 2,000 credits. Max $250 or $75, 8,000 credits. Pricing page InVideo and Everygen, clip by clip
Models
Starter has Seedance 2.0 Fast and Mini only; Plus and Max have every Seedance model, including 2.5.
Free option
A free plan with no card needed, per its help center (July 28, 2026). Its small allowance refills every Monday, and InVideo doesn't publish the number or list the plan on its pricing page.
vs OpenArt
An editor with models inside, built for whole videos on a timeline. OpenArt's Director makes multi-scene films from prompts instead.
Good
Timeline editing and team seats on every plan. Every Seedance model from Plus. A free plan with a weekly allowance, no card needed.
Less good
Starter leaves out standard Seedance 2.0 and 2.5. Credits don't roll over.

Pick it if the edit is the job and the clips are ingredients.

6. Krea

Krea calls itself "AI creative tools for everyone": image and video models on one canvas, paid in compute units.

Best for
A free daily allowance and Seedance on a cheap plan
Price
Basic $9 monthly or $5 a month billed annually, 5,000 units. Pro $35 or $21, 20,000 units. Max $105 or $63, 60,000 units. Pricing page
Models
Seedance 2.0, Fast and Mini on Basic, Seedance 2.5 from Pro, and Kling models with generation counts per plan.
Free option
Free gives 100 units a day, refilled daily. Seedance needs a paid plan.
vs OpenArt
A free daily allowance and Seedance 2.0 on its cheapest plan, on one canvas for images and video.
Good
Cheapest annual entry in this list. Free daily units to try it.
Less good
Units are their own currency again. Seedance 2.5 needs Pro.

The honest pick if free matters most, and a fair one for cheap Seedance.

7. Runway

Runway's tagline is "Create anything, anytime". It has its own Gen-4.5 model, editing tools like Aleph, and hosts outside models including Kling and Seedance.

Best for
Editing and effects around generation
Price
Standard $15 monthly or $12 a month billed annually, 625 credits. Pro $35 or $28, 2,250 credits. Max $95 or $76, 9,500 credits. Pricing page
Models
Gen-4.5, Gen-4 Turbo, Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.0 and 2.0 Fast on paid plans, Seedance 2.5 on Pro and Max, Nano Banana Pro.
Free option
Free gives 125 credits, once, which don't expire.
vs OpenArt
Its own Gen-4.5 model and editing tools such as Aleph around generation, where OpenArt leans on characters and stories.
Good
Its own model plus outside ones, and Runway MCP on Pro and Max. Max rolls over up to one month of credits.
Less good
Seedance 2.5 needs Pro.

The pick if you want to edit and composite, not just generate.

8. Arcads

Arcads is built for one thing, in its words: "Create winning ads with AI", with AI actors and avatars delivering your script.

Best for
UGC-style video ads with AI actors
Price
Starter $110 monthly or $88 a month billed yearly, 8,000 credits. Creator $220 or $176, 16,000 credits. Pro $550 or $440, 48,000 credits. Scale $1,100 or $880, 96,000 credits. Business $2,200 or $1,760, 192,000 credits. There is no public pricing page (arcads.ai/pricing returned not found); these are the plans shown inside the app after sign-up. Homepage Arcads and Everygen, clip by clip
Models
Talking AI actors (Arcads 1.0), plus Seedance 2.5, 2.0, 2.0 Mini and 1.5, Kling 3.0, MiniMax H3, Wan 3.0, Grok Imagine and Omni Flash, every one on every plan, per its help center.
Free option
A 72-hour trial with 1,000 credits. It needs a card, and billing starts when the trial ends unless you cancel.
vs OpenArt
Narrower: UGC-style ads with AI actors, not a general generator.
Good
Made for ads, end to end. AI actors without a shoot.
Less good
Prices only show after you sign up. Not a general-purpose generator.

Only if UGC ads are the whole job. Everygen's AI Ad Generator covers product ads on a normal plan.

Is there a free OpenArt alternative?

A few, with limits. None of them is free forever at volume, because every clip costs someone a GPU.

  • OpenArt's own trial: 40 credits for 7 days, less than one Seedance clip at 400.
  • Higgsfield: A free tier with a small set of models and no credits.
  • PixVerse: Basic is free: 60 credits to start, then 30 a day, up to 540p.
  • Kling: A free Basic plan; see Kling's page for what it includes today.
  • InVideo: A free plan with no card needed, per its help center (July 28, 2026). Its small allowance refills every Monday, and InVideo doesn't publish the number or list the plan on its pricing page.
  • Krea: Free gives 100 units a day, refilled daily. Seedance needs a paid plan.
  • Runway: Free gives 125 credits, once, which don't expire.
  • Arcads: A 72-hour trial with 1,000 credits. It needs a card, and billing starts when the trial ends unless you cancel.
  • ComfyUI: open source (GPL-3.0). It runs open video models such as Wan and LTX-Video on your own GPU, so the software costs nothing and the hardware is your problem.

On Everygen, the cheapest way in is Starter, $9 a month billed annually ($24 monthly) with every Seedance model up to 720p. On every Everygen plan you keep the rights to what you make (Terms, section 3.1).

Who should stay on OpenArt

  • You build consistent characters and reuse them across a series.
  • You make multi-scene films in Director.
  • Your work is mostly images: Nano Banana Pro costs less per image on OpenArt.
  • You use Kling a lot, on Plus or above.
  • You pay monthly and make Seedance clips for yourself: OpenArt Starter at $14 covers 10.
  • You want a model only OpenArt carries.

What would change this recommendation

  • OpenArt adding commercial use to Starter.
  • OpenArt cutting the credit price of Seedance.
  • OpenArt rolling unused plan credits over.

How we compared

We looked at the things that decide the bill: live price, credits, what one same-model clip costs, which models each plan includes, commercial use, credit rules and whether it works from an AI assistant. Every competitor fact comes from that company's own pricing, help or Terms page, read on the day given. OpenArt's were read on October 30, 2026; the other tools on the dates under the comparison table.

The test we ran ourselves is the same-prompt test above: three prompts, Seedance 2 at 5 seconds and 720p, on a paid OpenArt Starter account and on Everygen. We recorded the credits each site charged. We don't score quality. The clips are there for you to judge. Higgsfield gets the same treatment on our Higgsfield alternatives page.

OpenArt alternatives questions

For the same video models OpenArt sells (Seedance, Kling, Nano Banana), Everygen: Seedance 2 is 13 credits a clip against 400 on OpenArt, you keep the rights to what you make on every plan (Terms, section 3.1), and billed annually it costs less for up to 38 Seedance clips a month. For other jobs: Higgsfield for its own apps, PixVerse for a daily free allowance, Kling for Kling straight from the maker, InVideo for timeline editing, Krea for a free daily allowance on one canvas, Runway for editing around generation, and Arcads for UGC ads with AI actors.
Some have a free option: Higgsfield (Free tier, no credits), PixVerse (60 credits to start, then 30 a day), Kling (Free Basic plan), InVideo (Free plan, weekly credits, no card), Krea (100 units a day), Runway (125 credits, once), Arcads (72-hour trial, 1,000 credits, card required). OpenArt's own trial is 40 credits for 7 days, less than one Seedance clip.
Everygen runs Seedance, Kling, Nano Banana, MiniMax, Gemini Omni and Grok too. Billed annually, Everygen costs less than OpenArt for up to 38 Seedance 2 clips a month, and again from 61 to 76. OpenArt is cheaper on monthly billing at most volumes, and for Nano Banana Pro images and Kling clips from Plus up.
Both resell many models and add their own tools: OpenArt has characters and Director, Higgsfield has Cinema Studio, Soul and its 7-day “unlimited” windows. Every OpenArt plan runs standard Seedance 2.0; on Higgsfield it starts at Plus. Our Higgsfield pricing and alternatives pages compare Higgsfield with Everygen in the same way as this page.
OpenArt, Everygen, Higgsfield, Krea, Runway and PixVerse all put image and video models on one credit balance. The difference is the price per item and which plan runs which model.
Everygen: it makes vertical clips with the same models, and adds Shorts Studio, captions, voiceover and Wizard, an agent that plans a whole Short and shows its plan and credit ceiling before it spends anything.
The tools people compare it with most are Everygen, Higgsfield, PixVerse, Kling, InVideo, Krea, Runway, Arcads. Some resell many models like OpenArt does, some make their own model, and some focus on one job such as ads or editing.
