InVideo alternatives in 2026: Everygen and 7 others, compared on real prices

Everygen is the closest InVideo alternative if you came for AI videos from a brief. We gave both agents the same brief: InVideo's used 362.2 of Starter's 400 monthly credits without asking, and Everygen Wizard used 172 after asking. For Seedance 2, Everygen costs less than InVideo for up to 38 clips a month however you pay, and again from 53 to 76. If the timeline and your team are the job, InVideo may still be the right tool; the list below says who is good at what.

Every competitor price links to that company's own page, with the day we read it.

What InVideo costs, and what Everygen costs for the same work

Checked on invideo.io/pricing on October 30, 2026, logged out, per seat.

InVideo sells Starter at $20 monthly or $10 a month billed annually (400 credits, Seedance 2.0 Fast and Mini only), Plus at $60 or $30 (2,000 credits) and Max at $250 or $75 (8,000 credits). Everygen sells Starter at $9 annually or $24 monthly, Pro at $19 or $49 and Creator at $49 or $139. Starter runs every Seedance model up to 720p, Pro up to 1080p and Creator up to 4K.

For an agent video, our one test says: InVideo's agent used 362.2 credits for a 30-second Short and Wizard 172. InVideo's credits are cheaper, so in dollars that is $9.06 against $7.74 on the two Starter plans, if you spend every credit.

For Seedance 2 clips, a clip is 13 credits on Everygen and about 38 on InVideo. Up to 15 a month you pay $24 on Everygen against $60 on InVideo, billed monthly ($9 against $30 annually); up to 38, $49 against $60. InVideo Plus is the lower bill for 39 to 52 clips. The full tables are on our InVideo pricing page.

Why people look for an InVideo alternative

In InVideo's own words, from its pricing and help pages, and in its users' words, from Trustpilot.

InVideo has two Trustpilot profiles. Invideo Studio scores 1.8 from 1,026 reviews and invideo 2.9 from 910 (both checked October 30, 2026). Most reviewers are happy, but about a third give one star (32% and 30%), and the specific complaints keep coming back to credits.

Credits run out on the first project

“the entire credit allowance was burned through after making just TWO brief videos”
Mathi, 1-star review on Trustpilot (invideo profile), October 8, 2026. Read the review
“a single unfinished 35-second video consumed all my monthly credits.”
omar hattar, 1-star review on Trustpilot (Invideo Studio profile), August 9, 2026. Read the review
“basicaylly all my credits were used an hour after paying a montly subscription!”
Rebin Ismail, 1-star review on Trustpilot (Invideo Studio profile), August 31, 2026. Read the review

Our test matched it: one 30-second Short used 91% of Starter's month. The head to head below has both videos.

The agent spends without asking by default

“By default the agent is set to Always allow, meaning it generates directly without asking for permission.”
InVideo help center, How credits are charged when using AI Agents, updated August 7, 2026

Its replies cost credits too: the same article says the charge covers the conversation as well as the media. Wizard works the other way round: by default it shows its plan and credit ceiling before it spends anything, and asks you to approve the plan and the first clips. You can switch it to run on its own.

“The more credits you have, the more credits the app seems to require to generate a single video.”
Carol-Ann Cloete, 1-star review on Trustpilot (invideo profile), October 10, 2026. Read the review

Credits reset every month, even on the annual plan

InVideo's pricing page: “Heads up: Unused credits don't roll over to the next month.” Its billing help adds that the monthly reset applies “on annual plans too”, and its help center: “If your paid plan expires and switches to the free plan, any remaining credits from your paid plan are not carried over.” Plan credits refresh monthly on Everygen too; its top-ups last 90 days and stay usable if you cancel.

The cheapest plan leaves out Seedance 2.0 and 2.5

InVideo Starter lists “Access to Seedance 2.0 Fast & 2.0 Mini” and marks Seedance 2.5 and 2.0 “No access”. Everygen Starter is $9 a month billed annually and runs every Seedance model up to 720p, standard Seedance 2 and 2.5 included.

The price is hard to pin down

InVideo changed its plans more than once this year, its billing help still lists plan names the pricing page no longer sells, and its pricing FAQ says: “We reserve the right to update credit costs at any time, without prior notice.” We untangled the versions on the InVideo pricing page.

Choose Everygen if

  • You want an agent that shows its plan and credit ceiling before it spends anything.
  • You make up to 38 Seedance 2 clips a month, or 53 to 76.
  • You want standard Seedance 2 and 2.5 on the smallest plan: $9 a month for every Seedance model up to 720p.
  • You make Shorts and ads from a brief, with Wizard, Shorts Studio and the AI Ad Generator on the same credits.

Choose InVideo if

  • You edit long videos on a timeline with a team: multiplayer for up to 10 seats on Plus and 20 on Max, plus free guest seats.
  • You rely on stock footage and your own clips more than on AI clips.
  • You make 39 to 52 Seedance 2 clips a month on one seat: Plus covers about 52.
  • You make more than 76 clips a month, where Max has the lowest price per credit.
  • You want a free plan to try the editor first.

The 8 best InVideo alternatives

Same fields for every tool, so you can skim. Prices link to each company's own page.

1. Everygen

One subscription for Seedance, Kling, Nano Banana and more, with Wizard (an agent that plans a whole video and shows its plan and credit ceiling before it spends anything), Shorts Studio, the AI Ad Generator, captions and voiceover on the same credits. It also runs inside Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor.

Best for
An agent that shows its plan and credit ceiling before it spends anything, and Seedance 2 at 13 credits a clip on every plan
Price
Starter $9 a month billed annually or $24 monthly, 200 credits. Pro $19 or $49, 500 credits. See plans
Models
Seedance, Kling, Gemini Omni, MiniMax, Grok Imagine, Nano Banana, GPT Image.
Free option
No free plan. The cheapest way in is Starter at $9 a month billed annually.
vs InVideo
The same brief through Wizard took 172 credits and asked before spending; InVideo's agent took 362.2 of Starter's 400 without asking. Seedance 2 is 13 credits against about 38. InVideo has the fuller timeline editor and more seats.
Good
Wizard shows its plan and credit ceiling before it spends anything, and asks you to approve the plan and the first clips. Standard Seedance 2 and 2.5 at 720p on every plan, from Starter at $9 a month billed annually.
Less good
No multi-seat timeline editor like InVideo's. InVideo's credits cost less each, so Nano Banana Pro images are cheaper there.

The closest swap if you came to InVideo for AI clips and Shorts rather than for the timeline.

2. Higgsfield

Higgsfield sells many outside models, Seedance, Kling and Nano Banana among them, plus its own apps such as Cinema Studio, Soul and Genjutsu. It has an MCP too.

Best for
Its own apps and 7-day “unlimited” windows on a few models
Price
Starter $19 on either billing, 270 credits. Plus $59 monthly or $47 a month billed annually, 1,200 credits. Ultra $129 or $99, 3,000 credits. Before VAT. Pricing page Higgsfield and Everygen, clip by clip
Models
Seedance, Kling, Nano Banana, GPT Image, Wan, FLUX and more, plus its own Soul and Cinema Studio models.
Free option
A free tier with a small set of models and no credits.
vs InVideo
Many models plus its own apps, with an agent and an MCP too. Same Starter catch as InVideo: standard Seedance 2.0 starts on the next plan up.
Good
A big catalog and its own apps. 7-day “unlimited” windows on a few models on Plus and up.
Less good
Standard Seedance 2.0 needs Plus. “Unlimited” works on the website only, not over MCP.

The many-models pick if you also want its own apps.

3. OpenArt

OpenArt calls itself "your all-in-one AI creator studio": 100+ models, consistent characters and a Director tool for longer pieces. It has its own MCP too.

Best for
Characters, stories and a long list of models
Price
Starter $14 monthly or $13 a month billed annually, 4,000 credits. Plus $34 or $27, 12,000 credits. Pro $56 or $44, 24,000 credits. Wonder $240 or $175, 106,000 credits. Pricing page OpenArt and Everygen, clip by clip
Models
100+ models, every one of them on Starter, including Seedance 2.5, 2.0 and 2.0 Mini, Kling 4.0 and Nano Banana Pro.
Free option
No free plan, but the compare table lists 40 one-time trial credits for 7 days.
vs InVideo
Characters and multi-scene stories from prompts, every model on its cheapest plan, where InVideo builds the video on a timeline.
Good
MCP access on every paid plan. Watermark-free output from Starter.
Less good
Commercial use starts at Plus, per its pricing cards. Credits are a different size again, so compare per clip in the generator. Credits don't carry over to the next month.

Worth a look if consistent characters across a series matter more than price per clip.

4. Runway

Runway's tagline is "Create anything, anytime". It has its own Gen-4.5 model, editing tools like Aleph, and hosts outside models including Kling and Seedance.

Best for
Editing and effects around generation
Price
Standard $15 monthly or $12 a month billed annually, 625 credits. Pro $35 or $28, 2,250 credits. Max $95 or $76, 9,500 credits. Pricing page
Models
Gen-4.5, Gen-4 Turbo, Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.0 and 2.0 Fast on paid plans, Seedance 2.5 on Pro and Max, Nano Banana Pro.
Free option
Free gives 125 credits, once, which don't expire.
vs InVideo
Editing and effects around its own Gen-4.5 model. Closer to InVideo's editor than most, with Seedance 2.0 on every paid plan.
Good
Its own model plus outside ones, and Runway MCP on Pro and Max. Max rolls over up to one month of credits.
Less good
Seedance 2.5 needs Pro.

The pick if you want to edit and composite, not just generate.

5. Arcads

Arcads is built for one thing, in its words: "Create winning ads with AI", with AI actors and avatars delivering your script.

Best for
UGC-style video ads with AI actors
Price
Starter $110 monthly or $88 a month billed yearly, 8,000 credits. Creator $220 or $176, 16,000 credits. Pro $550 or $440, 48,000 credits. Scale $1,100 or $880, 96,000 credits. Business $2,200 or $1,760, 192,000 credits. There is no public pricing page (arcads.ai/pricing returned not found); these are the plans shown inside the app after sign-up. Homepage Arcads and Everygen, clip by clip
Models
Talking AI actors (Arcads 1.0), plus Seedance 2.5, 2.0, 2.0 Mini and 1.5, Kling 3.0, MiniMax H3, Wan 3.0, Grok Imagine and Omni Flash, every one on every plan, per its help center.
Free option
A 72-hour trial with 1,000 credits. It needs a card, and billing starts when the trial ends unless you cancel.
vs InVideo
UGC-style ads with AI actors. Narrower than InVideo, and much pricier to start.
Good
Made for ads, end to end. AI actors without a shoot.
Less good
Prices only show after you sign up. Not a general-purpose generator.

Only if UGC ads are the whole job. Everygen's AI Ad Generator covers product ads on a normal plan.

6. PixVerse

PixVerse makes its own video models and also hosts others. Every account gets daily credits, and paid plans add a monthly balance and cheaper modes on PixVerse's own models.

Best for
Its own video model and a daily free allowance
Price
Standard $10 monthly or $8 a month billed yearly, 1,200 credits every 30 days plus 60 daily. Pro $30 or $24, 6,000 credits. Premium $60 or $48, 15,000 credits. Ultra $199 (list price $249) or $149, 25,000 credits. Pricing page PixVerse and Everygen, clip by clip
Models
PixVerse's own models, plus Seedance, MiniMax, Wan, Gemini Omni Flash, Kling O3 and Grok Imagine from Pro up.
Free option
Basic is free: 60 credits to start, then 30 a day, up to 540p.
vs InVideo
Its own video model and a daily free allowance. No timeline editor.
Good
A real free tier that refills daily. Image models with 365-day “unlimited” on higher plans.
Less good
Seedance is not on Standard. Standard tops out at 720p.

Good for trying ideas for free, and for PixVerse's own model.

7. Krea

Krea calls itself "AI creative tools for everyone": image and video models on one canvas, paid in compute units.

Best for
A free daily allowance and Seedance on a cheap plan
Price
Basic $9 monthly or $5 a month billed annually, 5,000 units. Pro $35 or $21, 20,000 units. Max $105 or $63, 60,000 units. Pricing page
Models
Seedance 2.0, Fast and Mini on Basic, Seedance 2.5 from Pro, and Kling models with generation counts per plan.
Free option
Free gives 100 units a day, refilled daily. Seedance needs a paid plan.
vs InVideo
A free daily allowance and standard Seedance 2.0 on its cheapest plan, on one canvas for images and video.
Good
Cheapest annual entry in this list. Free daily units to try it.
Less good
Units are their own currency again. Seedance 2.5 needs Pro.

The honest pick if free matters most, and a fair one for cheap Seedance.

8. Kling

Kling AI is Kuaishou's own app, so new Kling versions such as Kling 4.0 and native 4K land there first.

Best for
Kling and nothing else, straight from the maker
Price
Standard $6.99 for the first month, then $8.80 a month (list price $10), 660 credits. Pro $25.99, then $32.56 a month, 3,000 credits. Bigger plans up to 57,000 credits. The page was mid-promotion. Pricing page
Models
Kling only: Kling 4.0, 3.0 and 3.0 Omni, motion control.
Free option
A free Basic plan; see Kling's page for what it includes today.
vs InVideo
Kling only, straight from the maker, with new Kling versions first. InVideo resells Kling inside its editor.
Good
First access to new Kling models. Lower price per credit on bigger plans.
Less good
One model family. Prices on the page were mid-promotion, so check at checkout.

If Kling is all you use, go to the source.

Is there a free InVideo alternative?

A few, with limits. InVideo has a free plan itself, so the question is usually which free allowance goes furthest.

  • InVideo's own free plan: "Yes, you can use invideo AI for free without entering your card details." The allowance refills every Monday and InVideo doesn't publish its size.
  • Higgsfield: A free tier with a small set of models and no credits.
  • OpenArt: No free plan, but the compare table lists 40 one-time trial credits for 7 days.
  • Runway: Free gives 125 credits, once, which don't expire.
  • Arcads: A 72-hour trial with 1,000 credits. It needs a card, and billing starts when the trial ends unless you cancel.
  • PixVerse: Basic is free: 60 credits to start, then 30 a day, up to 540p.
  • Krea: Free gives 100 units a day, refilled daily. Seedance needs a paid plan.
  • Kling: A free Basic plan; see Kling's page for what it includes today.

On Everygen, the cheapest way in is Starter, $9 a month billed annually ($24 monthly) with every Seedance model up to 720p.

Who should stay on InVideo

  • Teams that edit together on one timeline, with guest seats for clients.
  • Editors who mostly cut their own footage and stock, and add an AI clip now and then.
  • Anyone who needs only Seedance Fast clips and pays monthly: InVideo Starter at $20 covers about 15.
  • Heavy users past 76 Seedance clips a month, on Max.
  • Anyone happy to switch the agent to “Ask before generating videos” before every project.

What would change this recommendation

  • InVideo making “Ask before generating” the agent's default.
  • InVideo adding standard Seedance 2.0 to Starter.
  • InVideo publishing its free allowance and per-model credits in the generator.
  • InVideo's Max monthly price coming down from $250.

How we compared

We looked at what decides the bill: live price, credits, which models each plan runs, credit rules and how much an agent spends before it asks. Every competitor fact comes from that company's own pricing or help page, read on the day given: October 30, 2026 for OpenArt, Arcads, PixVerse and InVideo; October 23, 2026 for Higgsfield and the rest.

The test we ran ourselves is the agent test above: one brief through InVideo's agent on a paid Starter account and through Everygen Wizard on our own Everygen account, each on its default setting, on October 30, 2026. InVideo's credits are its Usage page before and after; Everygen's the balance before and after. One run each. We don't score quality; the videos are there for you to judge.

Give Wizard your next brief

It shows its plan and credit ceiling before it spends anything, and asks you to approve the plan and the first clips. Seedance on every plan; Starter is $9 a month billed annually.

InVideo alternatives questions

For AI videos from a brief, Everygen: in our test its Wizard agent made the same 30-second Short for 172 credits and asked before spending, where InVideo's agent used 362.2 of Starter's 400 without asking. For Seedance 2, Everygen costs less than InVideo for up to 38 clips a month however you pay, and again from 53 to 76. For other jobs: Higgsfield for many models and its own apps, OpenArt for characters and stories, Runway for editing around generation, Arcads for UGC ads with AI actors, PixVerse and Krea for daily free credits, and Kling for Kling straight from the maker.
Some have a free option: Higgsfield (Free tier, no credits), OpenArt (40 trial credits for 7 days), Runway (125 credits, once), Arcads (72-hour trial, 1,000 credits, card required), PixVerse (60 credits to start, then 30 a day), Krea (100 units a day), Kling (Free Basic plan). InVideo has a free plan too, with a weekly allowance it doesn't publish.
Everygen. A Seedance 2 clip is 13 credits there and about 38 on InVideo, by InVideo's own plan card. For Seedance 2, Everygen costs less than InVideo for up to 38 clips a month however you pay, and again from 53 to 76. InVideo Starter has no standard Seedance 2.0 or 2.5; Everygen Starter runs every Seedance model up to 720p.
One that shows you the cost first. InVideo's agent defaults to "Always allow" and its replies cost credits as well as its clips; in our test one Short used 91% of Starter's month. By default Everygen Wizard shows its plan and credit ceiling before it spends anything, and asks you to approve the plan and the first clips.
Everygen: give Wizard a brief and it writes the script, records the voiceover, makes the scenes and adds captions. It shows its plan and credit ceiling before it spends anything. Shorts Studio is a guided tool for the same kind of video.
Arcads is built for UGC-style ads with AI actors and costs far more to start. InVideo is a general editor with an agent. For product ads on a normal plan, Everygen's AI Ad Generator makes a 15-second UGC-style ad from a product photo and a script.
Higgsfield is a generator with its own apps and short “unlimited” windows; InVideo is an editor with models inside. Both keep standard Seedance 2.0 off their cheapest plan. Our Higgsfield pages compare it with Everygen in detail.
Neither rolls over plan credits; both refresh monthly, and InVideo's reset monthly on annual plans too. When an InVideo plan ends, its remaining paid credits are not carried over. Everygen's top-up credits last 90 days and stay usable if you pause or cancel.
The tools people compare it with include Higgsfield, OpenArt, Runway, Arcads, PixVerse, Krea, Kling, and editors such as CapCut and Pictory. Some resell many models, some make their own, and some focus on one job such as ads.
Both. InVideo MCP lets an assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor drive its timeline editor. Everygen's MCP server lets the same assistants make images and videos with Seedance, Kling and the other models on your Everygen credits.
