Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to make videos with Everygen, including people who use assistive technology.
We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We do not meet all of it yet. This page says what works today, what does not, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.
What we support
- A "Skip to content" link as the first stop when you press Tab, on every page.
- Keyboard access to navigation, menus, dialogs and forms, with a visible focus ring.
- Looping background videos stay still when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Light and dark appearance, set from your account menu.
- YouTube videos embedded in our blog carry YouTube's own captions.
Known gaps
These are problems we know about and are working on.
- Learn lessons and some videos hosted on our blog do not have captions or transcripts yet.
- Some secondary text, such as hints, timestamps and labels on cards, is lighter than the recommended contrast.
- The video editor timeline and some canvas tools depend on dragging with a mouse or touch.
- Images and videos you generate have no text description unless you add one.
- Checkout and payment pages are run by Stripe, and some sign-in options are run by Google. Their accessibility is set by those companies.
Report a problem
Email support@viewmax.io with "Accessibility" in the subject. It helps to tell us:
- The page address, or what you were trying to do.
- What went wrong.
- The browser and any assistive technology you use, such as a screen reader or voice control.
A person reads every report and replies by email. If something blocks you from using a feature you pay for, say so and we will help you get it done another way while we fix it. You can also reach us from the support page.
